Real Madrid's winger Extends Apology to The Madrid Club Fans
The forward has scored 5 goals in 10 Spanish league matches during the current campaign.
Los Merengues winger Vinicius Jr has said sorry to the fanbase for his response when substituted in the recent heated El Clasico victory.
The Brazilian was replaced in the 72nd min and showed his disappointment by walking immediately down the tunnel.
Vinicius subsequently came back to the sidelines and, after his club's narrow triumph, attempted to approach Barça's Lamine Yamal during unsavoury post-match exchanges.
"Now I want to apologise to all the Madridistas for my response when I was replaced in the Clasico," the player posted on his account.
"Just as I have said in person during this morning's session, I wish to say sorry once more to my teammates, the team, and the club president.
"Occasionally emotion takes over me because I constantly desire to succeed and help my club. My competitive character stems from the affection I hold for this club and everything it stands for."
Vinicius joined Real from Brazil in 2018 for millions and has accumulated 111 goals in numerous matches.
But his future in the Spanish capital is unclear with speculation in the past few months indicating that Real would contemplate allowing the 25-year-old depart if they got a suitable offer.
When Vinicius was replaced on Sunday, TV coverage from coverage provider the service recorded him remarking: "Always me! I'm leaving the team! It's preferable if I leave, I'm going."
In his most recent statement on the platform, the athlete stated: "I vow to keep battling constantly for the good of Los Blancos, as I have acted since the initial arrival."
