During a low-scoring contest on Sunday, the Denver Broncos managed to secure a close win over the struggling New York Jets. Signal-caller Bo Nix connected on a first-quarter touchdown pass and kicker Wil Lutz provided the game-winning decisive three-pointer to secure the ugly win.

Defensive Display Wins Game

Despite registering nine sacks versus Jets QB Justin Fields, the Broncos found themselves trailing 11-10 following giving up a two-point play in the third quarter. Remarkably, the Jets managed just 82 total net yards during the entire game.

The Denver quarterback, who went 19 of 30 attempts for 174 yards, led a decisive 12-play, 65-yard drive that culminated in Lutz's short field goal with just over five minutes remaining.

Record Difficulties for Jets Attack

Despite their dismal performance, the Jets maintained possession with a chance to score a potential winning score. However Fields was sacked on fourth-and-eight from the Denver 44 when coach Aaron Glenn opted to go for it instead of sending out specialist Nick Folk for a difficult field-goal attempt.

The Jets quarterback struggled throughout, completing just 9 of 17 passes for 45 yards. The Jets finished with negative ten net yards passing, the fewest in any game since 1998.

"The aerial attack was completely absent," the coach stated after the contest.
